Recording & Producing
Dane has been studying, arranging, composing and performing music for the past twelve years. As a versatile vocalist, he has appeared on stages throughout the country as both leads in major musical theater productions, as well as a featured soloist with world-class choral ensembles and a cappella groups. His degrees from Chapman University's Conservatory of Music include a "Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance" and a "Bachelor of Music in Music Education, Vocal Emphasis."
While in college, Dane's accomplishments included directing 14 musical theater productions with Southern California Youth Theater (SCYT). Dane was the music director of award-winning a capella group, SoundCheck, and wrote over 15 arrangements for the group. Under his direction, SoundCheck took 1st place at the 2011 ICCA quarterfinals (International Championship of Collegiate A Capella). Dane also personally earned the ICCA special award of "Outstanding Arrangement" for his setting of Bon Iver's "Woods."
While pursuing his degrees, Dane began teaching voice privately. His students learn the basics of healthy vocal production and the importance of artistry in their singing, all while having fun! All of his students grow tremendously and continue to impress with their various accomplishments in the youth theater realm, and in several cases, have had extreme success in competitions, as well as television and film.
